A little bit about our experience.

I’ve always had a passion and flair for photography, and after a 30 year photography career I still love what I do.

While my work is a lot of fun, I have very high quality standards and professionalism. I’m also a qualified and active member of the British Institute of Professional PhotographyI work alongside my wife, Sara, a professional layout artist, which means our wedding photography and albums are always absolutely beautiful and are usually ready to view soon after your honeymoon!

I’m really into my technology and gadgets, especially anything with an Apple logo. This really helps me keep on top of my game as a photographer, as I’m always interested in how technology can help to further develop my photography.

Aside from the latest technology trends, I take inspiration for my work from a variety of different places. I'm constantly looking at imagery on blogs and in Pinterest as it's important to understand what’s current in the industry. I try and keep my work fresh by seeking out new scenic and inventive backgrounds at wedding venues. No matter how many times I’ve worked at the venue, there’s always something new to discover.

Behind the scenes

I met my lovely wife, Sara, on a blind date and the rest is history. We have a beautiful daughter, Jessica, and we love to go on family walks together, exploring castles and, of course, taking lots of photographs. In my spare time, I’m a keen chef and love cooking for the family, although we love to eat out too (and I do treat myself to the occasional real ale)!

I'm a real people person, which keeps me really interested in my work as no two weddings are the same. Each family has its own story and dynamic and I love being welcomed into that for a day, and capturing that special narrative as it happens. The best part of the whole journey is handing over the finished Wedding Album. It’s a really special moment to witness as the couples’ faces light up as they see their gorgeous album for the first time.

Working with Sara makes my job truly special. We’re like chalk and cheese which means there’s never a dull moment, and it really helps us to stay fresh and creative as there’s always somebody to debate with and bounce ideas off. It really shows in the finished product.
