Fiona and Nick had the most fantastic weather for their Summer wedding at St. Mary's RC Church Fernyhalgh Fulwood, near Preston in Lancashire.
I'd not photographed a wedding at this little Church before so I decided to have a recce to familiarise myself with the location. I was totally unprepared for the lavish decor of the interior! Here's a small selection of their wedding photographs.
It was all very relaxed at Fiona's parents house whilst everyone prepared for the wedding. At one point I had my suit jacket vacuumed by the Fiona's Dad because I'd lent against some Lilly's! :-)
Thanks to me having visited the Church prior to Fiona and Nick's wedding I'd discovered that there was a Choir Loft. This provided a fantastic vantage point for me to capture this close-up wedding photograph from right at the back of the Church!
The wedding guests were asked to park there cars in the Bartle Hall Balmoral Suite car park which meant the Windsor Suite car park was clear for wedding photographs.
I've been photographing weddings at this extremely popular Lancashire wedding venue for many years and I know it intimately. These wedding photographs of Fiona and Nick took around 20 minutes for me to capture. Wedding photography shouldn't take over the wedding day and it's important that couples spend some time with their wedding guests! I always work with the staff at Bartle Hall to ensure that the wedding breakfast is served on time.
The Balmoral Suite was dressed to impress with white chair covers and black sashes. Fiona had been busy making home made chutneys and pickles as wedding favours and the table plan looked great suspended in a vintage suitcase. As part of the wedding photography package we arranged an Engagement Shoot which involved Fiona and Nick hurtling around a field on a Quad Bike which was great fun!
I had an absolutely fantastic time photographing Fiona and Nick's wedding at Bartle Hall near Preston, Lancashire. I hope you've enjoyed looking at this small selection of their wedding photographs. We usually post produce the images within two weeks of the wedding. This often means that couples can view their wedding photography whilst on honeymoon. Here's what Fiona and Nick had to say when they saw there photographs for the first time!
“It's our last night in Rome before flying home tomorrow, and being able to flick through our photos has been a real treat. They look really great, we're so pleased, thank you.”
Here's a rave review!
“David was fantastic from start to finish. He was very easy to work with and was keen to help as much as possible to make our day special. We were delighted with the finished photos and many of our guests commented on how well-organised, professional and lovely he was.”
